Ryan L. McGrath, BPhysio (Hons), GradDipPsych

Ryan is a physiotherapist, researcher, and clinical educator. Ryan's research and clinical interests lie in the intersection of physical and mental health. Ryan holds the position of Allied Health Research and Knowledge Translation Lead at Goulburn Valley Health, Rural Health Academic Coordinator at the University of Melbourne, and works clinically in community health. Ryan is his final year of his PhD at Charles Sturt University and is investigating the experiences and practices of physiotherapists with clients experiencing psychological distress

Ryan has published seventeen peer-reviewed articles, seven of which investigate encounters between physiotherapists and clients experiencing psychological distress and/or suicidal distress. Ryan has presented webinars on suicide prevention with organisations such as the Australian Physiotherapy Association, the Pain Revolution, the Knowledge Exchange, the University Centre of Rural Health, and the North Coast Allied Health Association.
